LONG OVERDUE COMIC UPDATE

Alright so remember those days where i kept talking about a webcomic i was working on with my friend but then i just kinda gave up?
WELL,
I know no one uses DA anymore but for those who didn't get the news from discord or twitter, i figured i should make this.
YES, Gemhunters is officially becoming a comic. It is no longer just "my" comic though, as my lovely boyfriend Xenomadikin is also heavily involved. (also yes i have a bf now uwu)
He does the art and i do the scripts and we are both heavily involved in story development.
And unlike my previous attempts at getting this damn comic to start, this time IT'S ACTUALLY HAPPENING. Like... The sketching of the first chapter is completely done, and now we are doing the linearts for the pages. We hope to be done by december-january!
Another reason why i couldn't get the comic to start was because i was too indecisive and self conscious and couldn't decide on a plot. But now i have and here's a synopsis:
"The Gemhunters are a squad of four chosen teenagers equipped with high-end technology provided by their mentor Dr. Foster, who sent them to protect mysterious crystals of mysterious origins that emit powerful energy, called Geoelectrical Matter (GEMs!).
What are the GEMs being protected from? Robots of mysterious origin that seek to gather these gems for their own sinister purposes..."

Archie? He was probably drunk as fuuuck. Either Nate or Takahiro tbh. Nates just a good boi that likes helping peeple and Taka is like. contractually obligated to fix Archie's fuckups

Opal would totally snap a pic. Poor prudish Takahiro would be embarassed as hell!

Lola! Shes the main character in a project im working on. i created her when i was 4 and shes evolved a lot since then :3
2. Do you have a personal favourite among your OCs?
the gemhunters! all 4 of them play off of eachother naturally and have very interesting dynamics
3. Have you ever adopted a character or gotten a character from someone else?
Oh yes. Originally i was against adopting characters but then i found myself addicted to adopting characters no longer used by my friends lmao. thankfully ive stopped
the most notable characters i have that were formerly owned by someone else are probably the Inkredible Igniters/The Noot Troop, originally created by NathanU-dA (thanks fam)
4. A character you rarely talk about?

Hawk and Jenny, especially in the Splatoon AU where theyre both dark skinned inklings with purple ink and yellow eyes

Patcy (Pat x Icy) was originally a crackship made by me and Nate (back when he still owned Pat) but we liked it so much that we made it canon at one point. Now its not though

Pen is secretly very good at singing. Will this ever come up? Who knows.

People tend to see mars as this overly serious, gruff soldier type a la Knuckles, while hes more like Bakugo in reality (except more likable. fuck bakugo and his punk ass.)

Reggie was originally very shy, nervous and anxious, but i changed her personality to "comes across as cold and distant but is a huge softie who cant express her emotions well" because her original personality was basically Pen lol

hey gamers today im gonna show you how to put a playable octoling body on an inkling on GMOD.
First, get an inkling and playable octoling model. make sure they are the same color or else its gonna look weird.

Proceed to use the Bodygroup tool to remove the clothes off of the octoling.
Then, use the submaterial tool to make the inklings underclothes and the octolings tentacles invisible.
Then use the inflator tool to deflate the head, lower legs, feet and hands.
then use the Advanced Bone Tool and set bip_arm2_L and R to 0.00.
Then Bonemerge the octoling body on the inkling.
And voila!

1) Marshie was born in Russia to Russian parents, but moved to the US at a very young age. She can speak both Russian and English fluently.
2) Speaking of parents, her mother Ivana, due to complications in childbirth, went comatose for four years and then died. Despite not knowing her much Marshie adores her and misses her greatly.
3) She can play the Piano and Clarinet.
4) Due to her father being a boss at a fuel company, she is pretty rich. However unlike most rich kids she is kind and generous and uses her wealth to help her friends and other people out in times of need.
5) She has dealt with body image issues for a good chunk of her life, despite most people thinking shes quite beautiful (and Pen thinking shes a literal walking goddess)

1) Marshie was born in Russia to Russian parents, but moved to the US at a very young age. She can speak both Russian and English fluently.
2) Speaking of parents, her mother Ivana, due to complications in childbirth, went comatose for four years and then died. Despite not knowing her much Marshie adores her and misses her greatly.
3) She can play the Piano and Clarinet.
4) Due to her father being a boss at a fuel company, she is pretty rich. However unlike most rich kids she is kind and generous and uses her wealth to help her friends and other people out in times of need.
